Labour dies in quarry blast


Thatta, Sindh: A worker died in a quarry at the hilly area of Makli near here Thursday. A stone-crasher on Ghulamullah Road was using explosive material in a stone quarry, when 35 years worker Abdul Razzaq sustained serious injuries during blasting. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital Makli where he died. The heirs protested and ransacked a portion of hospital. Later, they staged a demo on National Highway. They alleged doctors showed negligence while providing medical treatment to the injured man. Assistant Commissioner Thatta has ordered inquiry into the incident.
