Man kidnapped near Naundero reaches home safely

NAUNDERO: A young man, Samad Lashari, who was kidnapped from Naundero area over a month ago, has reached home safely in the wee hours of Thursday.

The man was kidnapped 45 days ago when he was going to Sajawal Junejo from Larkana in a wagon.

The released man told reporters that while staying in a Larkana hospital he got friendship with a man who invited him to visit his village.

He told: “So he was going to see him in a van when it was intercepted at Kambar bypass by four armed men. After my identification, they blind folded me and cuffed my hands from behind and kidnapped me in a car. After one hour’s drive we reached an area of Balochistan where the criminals kept me chained and they used to give me two times food daily.”

Lashari further said that his abductors were making phone calls from his cell to his heirs and they were demanding Rs1.5 million as ransom from them, however, they did not torture him at all.

Lashari further said he used to tell them that he was a very poor man but they did not hear him and added that Sardar Nasir Khan Jamali of Balochistan forced his captivators to release him.

He further claimed that he did not pay a single penny as ransom. His uncle Ghulam Nabi Lashari, Yasin and Sharif Lashari told newsmen on the occasion that Kambar-Shahdadkot or Larkana districts police did nothing to get the young man recovered in one and half month though they were strictly directed by PPP leadership.

It may be mentioned here that Samad is the husband of People’s Party ladies wing office-bearer of Garibabad locality here.
