HYDERABAD: Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui said on Tuesday Mauripur Truck Stand would be developed as a model for whole city as the transporters community working here represents almost every part of the country.
“Required logistic support will be provided for carrying out operation against encroachments again inside the truck stand. KMC was facing the land mafia in its operations against encroachments, however, it will deal with such elements strictly and make the city clear from all sorts of encroachments,” he said while talking to a delegation of Karachi Goods Carrier Association headed by its President Khalid Khan, which called on Administrator Karachi in his office.
General Secretary of KGCA Muhammad Shoaib Khan, Senior Vice President Malik Sher Khan, Vice President Rana Aslam, President Amn Dost Traders Association Sultan Khan Niazi and other office bearers were also present on this occasion.
Administrator Karachi said all problems of Mauripur truck stand would be resolved on a preferential basis as the goods carrier was association playing important role in the progress of the local economy.
The President KGCA on this occasion gave Rs2 lac check as financial support to his family to the son of martyred deputy director land Muhammad Ishaq who lost his life in an operation against encroachments in New Karachi.
Administrator Karachi Rauf Akhtar Farooqui appreciating this step of KGCA said we all belonged to this city and therefore we have to play our role in its betterment. Paying tribute to the sacrifice of late deputy director he said the anti encroachments squad of KMC was facing the land mafia in its operation against encroachments and so far they have worked courageously and put a good example for other government servants.
