New Industrial zone in Hub


HUB: Factories would be setup at over 400 acres of land at Steel city near Gaddani and in Hub. All facilities would be provided to those setting up new factories and complete government support.

This was stated by Provincial Secretary Industries Abdul Fateh Bhangar while speaking to Newsmen during his visit to Baluchistan’s biggest Industrial city Sunday.

Managing Director Lasbella Industrial Estate Development Authority LIEDA Sohail Mirza and managing Director Gwadar Industrial Estate Development Authority Fareed Ahmed Bizenjo were also present.

He said Balochistan and Federal governments were paying special attention on industrial development in the provincial so that unemployment is ended here and educated people are provided jobs in their province at the factories setup here.

MD LIEDA and MD GIEDA apprised Secretary Industries of factories stup intheir respective areas.

Secretary Industries directed them to mobilize their energies for establishing more and more factories in the province.

MD LIEDA Sohail Mirza informed that on the directive of provincial government over 400 acres of land has been acquired in Hub where around 250 factories would be setup. He said steel scrap obtained from discarded vessels at Gaddani will be used in Steel City being setup along RCD highway for preparing steel guards and other iron goods. Land for this has been acquired and process of issuing NoC has been started for setting up factories.

Construction of a cemented pond having 20 million gallons of water near LIEDA ponds has been started for supplying drinking and other purposes water for these factories.

MGDGIEDA told that owing to special attention of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Gwadar local investors of Balochistan particularly Mekran as well major investors form Karachi and Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Wazirabad, Sialkot, Gujrat, Gujranwala and Rawalpindi etc were showing interest in establishing their industries in Gwadar Industrial Estate Development Authority. This is the reason here are bright chances as China also desire massive investment in Gwadar.
