Naudero, Sindh: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) cochairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari has said that there are no differences between him and his son and their party is united.
He dispelled the misconception that there were differences between him and his son party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said Makhdoom Amin Fahim cannot think of betrayal to the party. He said their party is united.
He said Benazir Bhutto was of the opinion that Kashmir freedom fight should not be mixed with Jehad; however, mixing of the two had harmed the struggle of Kashmiris.
Addressing a big public gathering here Saturday on the seventh death anniversary of PPP slain chairperson and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, he said that it establishment of military courts was necessary in the prevailing situation; however, their misuse would not be allowed. He said should be ensured that the military courts are not misused, adding if they were misused it cannot be ruled out that he (Zardari) and Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif can be jailed. He said we will accept the military courts law when it is assured that this law is not used against any democratic party, scholar or journalist.
He said his party has waged a brave struggle even in the dark era of Gen Musharraf. He said we are not afraid of terrorists and we will protect our due rights.
He said ‘Tom Cat’ in at his home under court bail but fully involved in politics.
