LARKANA: The Commissioner, Larkana Division, Dr Saeed Mangnejo, in a letter to the Principal, Chandka Medical College (CMC), has pointed out that no quick response force of police or rangers is available to act promptly in case of emergency in CMC, adding that no armed persons at any roof of the CMC buildings are deployed to monitor the surrounding areas. He further pointed out that security guards were not in possession of weapons.
“There is no checking of employees from employee colony gate,” he added. Moreover, boundary wall is broken from back side and no checking mechanism is emplaced,” commissioner pointed out, adding that there were no CCTV cameras installed in CMC. He further directed the CMC authorities that security of foreigner students be given top priority and intensive foot patrolling be carried out inside vast area of the college during day & night.
He also directed the principal to address the above mentioned security issues on top priority basis to avoid any untoward incident. The comprehensive review was carried out in the backdrop of prevailing security environment in the country and during the process, an effort was made to analyze the existing security apparatus of various sensitive institutions and installations.
