Pakistan Day celebrated in Mandi Bahauddin


Mandi Bahauddin: People of Mandi Bahauddin district celebrated Pakistan Day on 23 March with renewed pledge to reform the country into a modern Islamic welfare state as per Pakistan resolution adopted by Muslim League meeting at Lahore under Quad I Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Special prayers were held at mosques after Fajar prayers for the progress, prosperity and solidarity of the country.

TMA arranged a joint function at TMA Hall. Ex-servicemen, government officials, media persons, women and local leaders from PMLN and PPP participated in the function while DOC Afzal Warriach was the chief guest. The speakers highlighted the importance of Pakistan Resolution that paved the way for creation of Pakistan as an independent state for Muslims of the subcontinent.

Prominent among the speakers were District Secretary PPP Hassan Aslam Warriach, District President Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) Major Sher Gondal, President Kisan Wing Zaman Ranjha and District Secretary PMLN Sikander Gondal. At the end, the chief guest thanked TMO Tahir Sandhu for arranging the function in a befitting manner.

He also appreciated participants for sparing time to join celebrations of Pakistan. He said Pakistan is blessed with natural resources and hardworking people. He called upon people to sincerely follow ideals of the resolution to make the country stable and progressive.
