Larkana: The chairperson, Provincial Polio Committee and PPP MNA Azra Pechuho presided over a meeting held on Friday at the office of Larkana Deputy Commissioner to review the polio eradication campaign in the district.
District Health Officer Dr. Khalilullah Shaikh, DC Javed Jagirani, representatives of WHO & UNICEF, NGOs, government officers of education & social welfare departments also took part in the meeting.
Pechuho urged the participants to make the campaign a success and discharge their legal & moral duties to make the country polio free. She said that children should be saved from lifetime disability and for that purpose they will have to go to remotest and far flung areas for which the teams must be provided tight police security while they are on official duty to administer drops to children up to 5 years.
She urged them to take full part in the campaign and also make announcements through loud speakers so that people should bring their children at the centers for administering anti-polio drops.
