Polio vaccination drive rejected in several UCs

KHAIRPUR: Some 6,000 cases of polio vaccination were refused by parents in Khairpur district.

This was revealed by the Technical Officer of District Polio Eradication Committee and representative of FELT-NSTOP, Dr Akbar Ali Ghanghro during an orientation on Polio Eradication and Expanded Program of Immunization meeting.

The meeting was presided over by Deputy Commissioner, Khairpur, Munawar Ali Mithani. It was informed that the people of U.C Karoondi, Pacca Chang, Faiz Gunj and others of taluka Faiz Gunjj and three UCs of taluka Kotdiji rejected the polio vaccination where parents said it is American poison.
