LARKANA: Sindh High Court Circuit Court, Larkana, has converted an office note into constitutional petition and issued notice to all the respondents including SSP Larkana, DSP and SHO Naundero police station to appear before it in person on November 13, 2015.
In his short order, Justice Abdul Rasool Memon said that it is the responsibility of the law enforcement agencies, particularly the police, to trace the missing child. Even otherwise under article 35 of the Constitution, it is duty of the state to protect the marriage, the family, the mother and the child, but in the instant case it appears that State functionaries have failed to do so.
In view of above factual position and facts mentioned in newspaper clipping annexed herewith, the order further added, instant office note is converted into constitutional petition. Meanwhile, office is directed to issue notices for personal appearances to SSP Larkana, DSP & SHO Naundero along with parents of missing child Sahil (Korejo) of Naundero.
A notice also be extended to AAG as well as Assistant Prosecutor General (APG) of this court. Needless to say, in case of non-appearance of police functionaries, IGP Sindh will appear in person on next date, the order added. It must be mentioned here that the boy is missing since last eight days and cops have done nothing to recover him, as alleged by the Korejo community.
