Sheikh Rashid stops from going to Canada at Islamabad airport

Rawalpindi: Awami Muslim League (AML) leader and member National Assembly (MNA) Sheikh Rasheed was barred at the Islamabad airport from travelling abroad due to non-issuance of clearance by the authorities.

According to reports Rasheed wanted to board a PIA flight PK-718 from Islamabad to Canada, but he was prevented from doing so.

It reported that Sheikh Rashid was off loaded for want of clearance from Canada. On the other hand Sheikh Raseed said that he was scheduled to lay the foundation stone of Pakistan House on March 23 besides attending several important functions relating to the Republic Day.

AML chief stated that his seat was confirmed his name was not on the ECL, yet PIA off loaded him without telling any reason. He said that he would raise this issue in the national assembly session.
