JAMSHORO: An important meeting of executive council of Sindh University Officers’ Welfare Association (SUOWA) was held in the senate hall of administrative block, Sindh University Jamshoro which elected a new body with the pledge to keep the association functioning in letter & spirit, work honestly and bury the differences if there were any amongst the officers in the best interest of the varsity.
The Executive Council of SUOWA condemned the action of the person who on a fake letter pad of the association wrote a complaint letter to CM House so as to defame SUOWA. It also appealed to the chief minister Sindh to take stern action against elements involved in the conspiracy.
The meeting of executive council unanimously elected Ghulam Murtaza Siyal as President of the association. Thus Ghulam Nabi Kaka was elected Vice President, Syed Sajad Shah General Secretary, Rafiq Solangi Joint Secretary, Mola Bux Rind Finance Secretary and Abdul Majeed Panhwar was elected Press Secretary consistently.
Similarly the newly elected executive council consists of Muhammad Ali Roshan Pathan, Sajid Qayoom Memon, Muhammad Mashooq Siddique, Ghulam Hyder Lashari, Razia Tariq, Miss Mukhtiar Bhatti, Ali Gohar Noohani, Ali Akbar Jalbani, Aziz Rustamani and Mian Ahmed Aleem Pasha.
In the meeting, the newly elected body of Sindh University Officers Welfare Association (SUOWA) took the oath and vowed on the occasion to do whatever they could for the uplift of the university.
While addressing the ceremony, newly elected president Ghulam Murtaza Siyal said that he along with his team would leave no stone unturned to work in the best interest of the officers. Because according to him officers can contribute more in leading the university to right direction, progress & development only when they would be provided opportunities to work free of tensions.
He said officers, employees and management should work together for development and expansion of the university. He assured the officers that all their genuine demands would be conveyed to the authorities at the earliest.
Vice President Ghulam Nabi Kaka said the association would foil the conspiracies made against the officers from time to time, adding that the culture of leg-pulling at the university will be buried forever.
In the meeting the raffling process also took place in a bid to declare the name of the lucky officer who will be sent Saudi Arab to perform Hajj on the expenses of the association. The name of Computer Programmer Junaid Fazulani luckily became manifest in raffling while Muhammad Mashooq Siddiqui’s name materialized as alternate candidate.
The meeting also approved that Muhammad Ali Roshan Pathan would also go to perform hajj this year as Saima Naz Wighio had refused to travel to Saudia for hajj at the last moment and he could not avail of the slot being her alternate candidate last year.
The executive council condemned the behaviour of the person who on the fake latter head of SUOWA wrote a cantankerous letter to CM House and tried his best to defame and plot a conspiracy against the officers of the varsity. It also appealed to the Sindh chief Minister to take unyielding action against those conspirators involved in it.
Among others SU Registrar Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto, Director Admissions Akhtar Ahmed Memon, Mushtaq Ahmed Memon, Manzoor Panhwar, Qadir Bux Saharan and Asif Khero also attended the ceremony.
