RAWALPINDI: President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mian Humayun Parvez has appreciated steps taken by Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) to eliminate unemployment and provide skilled manpower to industries easily. He said the TEVTA is playing pivotal role in provision of skilled persons to the industries.
This was stated by him during a meeting with the delegation of TEVTA, who met him in the chamber. The delegation was lead by Chairman TEVTA Rawalpindi Board Chaudhry Abdur Rauf.
During the meeting, director apprenticeship TEVTA Waheed Aslam briefed the President RCCI that TEVTA had developed a software namely Skilled Labour Marketing Information System (SLMIS) that provides easy approach of employers to the skilled people.
He added that this software is free of cost and equally beneficial for employers as well as job seekers. He further said that due to these efforts, all our skilful labour can get the opportunities of the right jobs in right places.
President RCCI assured them full support from Rawalpindi chamber and business community. On the occasion, Senior Vice president RCCI Saqib Rafiq, vice president Aqil Obaid, and other executive members of the standing committee were also present.
