TMA Sialkot starts construction of model Bazaar

SIALKOT: Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Sialkot has started the construction of Model Bazaar for shifting the local vendors from all markets of the city to it after completion.

MPA Mansha Ullah Butt laid the foundation stone of the construction work of this project here Saturday. DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu, TMO Muhammad Zafar Qureshi, President Markazi Anjuman Tajraan Sialkot Mehar Ghulam Mujtaba, general secretary Ehsanul Haq Butt, Chairman Market Committee Chaudhary Saif Ullah and Chairman District Baitul Maal Malik Muhammad Sarfraz were present on this occasion.

Talking to the newsmen, MPA Mansha Ullah Butt said that the Model Bazaar is being established at the Old Tehsil Building Sialkot on five and half kanals of land by the TMA Sialkot at total estimated cost of Rs. 15 million. As many as 64 cabin shops would be constructed there.

He said the project would be completed in stipulated period of coming two months. He said that all the carts and vendors would be shifted to this Model Bazaar by providing them the necessary facilities. He said this project would be helpful in purging all the bazaars in city from encroachments, ensuring the smooth flow of traffic.

Earlier, he distributed the waste collections bags amongst the local shopkeepers, in a bid to promote cleanliness awareness among them.
