Two killed in armed clash near Shikarpur


SHIKARPUR: Two persons were killed and two others injured in an armed clash between Sadhayo and Dahani tribesmen at Aachar Sadhayo village within the jurisdiction of Madeji police station near here on Sunday.

A group of armed men belonging to Dahani tribe attacked Sadhayo tribesmen with automatic weapons. As a result of crossfire, two men identified as Muhammad Khan Sadhayo and Yousuf Dahani were killed, while two persons Munawar Sadhayo and Barkat Dahani received serious bullet injuries.

The injured were brought to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The cause behind incident was said to be an old dispute developed between the Sadhayo and Dahani tribesmen over the ownership of the agricultural land.

The said dispute was settled in Jirga presided over by Meer Manzoor Khan Panhwar at Kot Durrani on 02 March 2014.

Twenty-two persons of both the parties have so far been killed in the clashes.
