Two trains leave for Nankana Sahib

LARKANA: Two trains left Larkana railway station on Sunday evening for Nankana Sahib wherein as many as 1500 members of Hindu community were travelling who belonged to Kambar-Shahdadkot and Larkana districts to participate in the 547th birthday of Baba Guru Nanik.

The first train left at 3pm and the other at 4pm. A large number of relatives also came to the station to say good bye to the Hindu devotees requesting each one of them to pray for their well being as well. They included men, women, children and aged as well.

Rattodero ‘s Ashok Kumar, Naseerabad’s Radha Kishan & Jitendar Kumar and others told Reporters that last year the railway authorities charged Rs:2000/- from each passenger as to & fro hire but this year they have arbitrarily raised 40% hire just one day before the trains’ scheduled departure which is unjust and now they have been charged Rs:2500/- for each ticket, they added.

They said that during both Eids the railways minister always announce to reduce rates to facilitate the passengers of Punjab & KPK but even then they did not made a complaint but thanked the railways Minister Khuwaja Saad Rafique for having provided them two trains which will not only take them to Nankana Sahib but they will also return safely to their hometowns through the same trains.

The railway station remained jam packed when these devotees were leaving for Punjab. They demanded reduction in fares and other travelling facilities.
