JAMSHORO: A one-day “Youth Entrepreneurs Festival 2014” was organized by the Institute of Business Administration, University of Sindh Jamshoro, to create awareness among the new students of Business Administration and provide them with a platform to link their theoretical ideas with the practical approach.
While chief guest of the Entrepreneur Festival Prof. Dr. Imamuddin Khosa appreciated the efforts of students and teachers of IBA University of Sindh on organizing such an enormous festival.
Chief Guest of the festival, Prof Dr Imamuddin Khosa, Director IBA University of Sindh and Guest of Honour Prof. Dr. Noor Muhammad Jamali, Dean Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration SU inaugurated the Youth Entrepreneurs Festival 2014.
A large number of students from various departments of Sindh University, Mehran Engineering University, Liaquat Medical University Jamshoro, ISRA University Hyderabad, University of Karachi, Quaid-e-Awam Engineering Nawabshah participated in the festival.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the festival, Director IBA University of Sindh Prof. Dr. Imamuddin Khosa congratulated the organizer & faculty member Sami Shaikh for his countless efforts to organize the festival and said, today, IBA had achieved another milestone by organizing the Entrepreneur Festival on the Campus adding that earlier this year, IBA had organized International Conference on Business & Economic which was admired by the participants.
He said that it was necessary to pay heed towards practical work except studying theoretical subjects. He hoped that the festival will help students increase their professional skills.
Dr. Khosa said that entrepreneur’s festival provided a platform to the students to link their theoretical ideas with the practical world approach adding that it also helped students to reveal their innovation and creativity.
“Through these sorts of festivals students develop their entrepreneur’s skills by expressing their new business ideas; I am sure this festival will also encourage the girls to involve themselves into the business activities by contributing their efforts and resources in different industries like textile, garments & other business etc” he maintained.
Dr. Khosa said such entrepreneur’s festivals will boost the Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) conceptualization of the students to be the owner of their own bread and butter.
On the occasion the organizer of the festival Sami Shaikh said that the festival also attracted the people belonging to different walk of life specially females and children to visit the stalls of students and that how they sold out their products.
“I am very delighted that our students have set the various entrepreneur businesses stalls in the youth entrepreneur festival on the campus with its stellar line-up of innovative business”. Shaikh said.
