Youth killed in landmine blast


KANDHKOT: A teenager was killed and three others were injured on Saturday in two different landmine blasts near Sindh-Balochistan border at Ghuaspur town.

Rescue sources said two landmine blasts occurred in jurisdiction of R.D:238 police station near Saufullah Bugti village. Resultantly, a youth, riding a motorcycle, Karamullah Bugti, was injured. However, at the same place, after passing of an hour, a second explosion was occurred in which a tractor trolley loaded with wheat went destroyed.

Resultantly, 17-year-old villager Roshan Bugti, was killed while Ghalib and Abdul Shakoor were critically injured. The deceased and injured were shifted to Rahimyar Khan Hospital.

Meanwhile, SSP Kashmore, Umar Tufail’s spokesperson Athar Channa said rangers raided in Kactha area of Ghauspur and killed a wanted accused, Babul Teghani and recovered a Kalashnikov from his possession.

In another incident, police arrested a dacocit, Gul Mir alias Jandoo, son of Ghulam Qadir in injured condition after an encounter, held in jurisdiction of Katcho Keti police station while police recovered a Kalashnikov from his possession.

Police claimed that the accused was wanted to police in heinous crimes committed in Rahimyar Khan, Jacobabad and Shikarpur districts.

Yet in another incident, Risaldar police party arrested a notorious bandit, Khadim Sabzoi in police encounter in Khair Shah area and recovered a gun and four motorcycles from his possession. Police said the accused was wanted in dozens of criminal cases.
