MASTUNG: A couple was slaughtered to death over contracting marriage of their choice in Killi Ginger, Shaheed Benazirabad area of district Mastung in Balochistan province on Saturday.

According to Muhammad Younas Muhammadshae, Station House Officer (SHI), Police Station, Mastung, husband and wife, who had contracted marriage of their choice some years earlier, were slaughtered to death with a sharp weapon in Killi Ginger, Shaheed Benazirabad area of Mastung by unidentified assailants.

The assailants managed to escape after committing the crime. The bodies, identified as Z and Nadeem, were shifted to Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Raisani Hospital, Mastung for postmortem examination. Further investigation was being conducted by the authorities Police Station, Mastung.
