QUETTA: Balochistan National Party (Mengal) has finalized the name of Malik Abdul Wali Kakar for the position of Governor Balochistan.

According to reports, the name of Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, Senior Vice President, Balochistan National Party (Mengal) has been finalized and forwarded to Prime Minister for appointment as Governor Balochistan. It may be noted that Syed Zahoor Ahmad Agha was appointed as Governor Balochistan on 7 July 2021 and he is still serving now.

Previous governor were Akbar Bugti (1973-1974), Ahmad Yar Khan (1974-1977), Rahimuddin Khan (1977-1984), Amir-ul-Mulk Mengal (1999-2003), Zulfikar Ali Magsi (2008-2013), Muhammad Khan Achakzai (2013-2018).[1] and Amanullah Khan Yasinzai (2018-2021). Syed Zahoor Ahmad Agha was appointed as Governor on 7 July 2021.
