SIBI: Electricity crisis continued in 17 districts of Balochistan including Sibi as two towers of 220 kv Guddu-Sibi-Quetta transmission line could not be repaired yet. According to details terrorists had destroyed two towers of 220 kv Guddu-Quetta transmission line in Chattar area on January 7. As a result supply of electricity was badly affected. Crisis worsened as only 200 mega watts of electricity were being supplied. Massive load shedding continued in 17 districts for at least 8 hours a day. Repair of two towers was underway by NTDC.
People are facing worse situation due to long load shedding. It was also badly affecting agriculture sector and local seminars were suffering massive losses in the absence of electricity.
