Delegation of junior delegates visits Head Marala

SIALKOT: A delegation of twenty junior diplomats from nineteen friendly Asian, African and Middle East countries, visited the Head Marala Barrage near here, amid tight security. Director General of Foreign Service Academy (FSC) of Pakistan Murad Ali led the delegation.

The concerned officials of the Sialkot district administration gave a detailed briefing to the visiting foreign diplomats about the six-year long Indian water aggression. They were told that the India had stopped the water in River Chenab towards Pakistan six years ago in 2008, violating the Indus Water Treaty. The bed of the River Chenab near Head Marala has dried up due to water stoppage by India.

On this occasion, the foreign diplomats expressed grave concern over this critical situation caused by the Indian water aggression.

The diplomats also visited the Sialkot International Airport and they highly hailed the spirit of the exporters and industrialists for establishing their own private airport on self help basis.
