Dengue takes 27 lives in Sindh

Karachi: Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab Tuesday disclosed that dengue has taken 27 lives in Sindh this year.

He addressed a joint press conference with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and provincial minister Shazia Marri in Karachi on Tuesday.

Wahab said dengue is a challenge not only for Karachi but for the Pakistan as it has already taken many lives.

The Karachi administrator confirmed that no deaths from malaria were reported in the flood-affected areas.

While talking to media Shazia Marri said that Pakistan has less than one percent role in carbon emission. Developed countries are responsible for it, she added.

On the situation of floods, she told the media persons that more than 33 million Pakistanis have become homeless. She added that the number of victims is more than the population of many countries.
