Electricity production from Nandipur Power House in May


SIALKOT: The production of electricity from the first turbine of the Nandipur Power House will begin in May 2014 and the GEPCO has already completed the necessary work of laying the new 500 KV High-tension Transmission Lines at Nandipur Thermal Power Project for connecting GEPCO power generation system with the national grid.

GEPCO Chief Executive Munir Ahmed disclosed this while addressing an important meeting of the senior officers after reviewing the pace of laying the main transmission lines near Nandipur.

He said that this local power generation project would be helpful in overcoming the issue of load shedding of power in the Gujranwala Region.
