DADU: Five members of a family were killed and two others injured in a car-tractor crash on Indus Highway in Khairpur Joso area on Sunday.

According to police, the family belonging to Ratodero town, was travelling in a car which collided with a tractor, killing Syed Azeem Shah, Syed Mithal Shah, their sister and two others while other persons were injured.

Police said that accident occurred on Indus Highway due to fog. The police have impounded the car and the tractor besides starting a probe into the incident. The bodies and injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively. A mourning atmosphere prevailed at the house of the victim family.
