Ratodero, Sindh : The establishment of Government Institute of Business and Commercial Education (GIBCE) here is in doldrums and could not be completed despite passage of a decade.
Citizens have sent several applications to the government to set up the GIBCE so that students could get Diploma in Commerce with additional skills of English shorthand, type writing and computers. Though temporary arrangement has been made by the Director, Regional Directorate, Sindh Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA), Larkana, to run the institute with enrolment of more than 50 students in a temporary building of Government Mono-Technical Institute (GMI) but the students are facing a lot of problems.
It is learnt that Chief Minister’s Secretariat had asked the Additional Chief Secretary (P&D) o include the scheme of establishment of new Commercial College at Ratodero in the ADP of 2011-12 but to no avail.
Students and parents have demanded of the Government to approve the PC-I without further loss of time so this institute could be formally established.
