JSQM demands release of leaders

LARKANA: A large rally was taken out here on Sunday by Jeay Sindh Quomi Mahaz (JSQM) activists led by their central leader Dr. Niaz Kalani against the arrest of Sanan Qureshi, Zain Shah, other leaders and workers. While addressing the protesting workers, Dr Kalani said that Punjab is cultivating four crore acres of land but seven lac Afghan refugees will settle in Sindh’s Bahria Town and Zulfiqar Abad due to which we have rejected Bahria Town and Zulfiqar Abad which are not acceptable to the people of Sindh as occupation of Sindh’s lands will not be tolerated at all.

He said terrorist cases were registered against our leaders and workers who even had no wooden stick in their hands adding in fact those people are terrorists who fired bullets and they should be taken to task. He said Imran Khan has constituted a committee to have talks with the nationalists so that Sindh’s islands could be encroached. He declared “no talks will be held until the end of Bahria Town, withdrawal of cases and release of all arrested persons is made”.

Punhal Saryo alleged that Sindh’s resources are being digested by PPP since years, people of Sindh have remained unemployed and nationalists have been pushed behind the wall. He said PPP’s Nisar Khuhro issued a statement for giving CNICs to outsiders and refugees, Sindh is facing acute water scarcity, education and health sectors have been ruined. He said if development is to be made then villages should be developed in the province and new cities should never be established which will convert Sindhi people into minority. He said the next protest will be held in Nawabshah on 18th July for release of leaders, activists, withdrawal of cases against them and for other rights of Sindh.
