LSI hold presser against issues

LARKANA: Robberies, thefts, forcible snatchings, murders, looting, battery and motor thefts from mosques and schools have become routine in Larkana, even instead of taking effective action against the encroachment in the city, the officials of the district administration are playing a role of henchmen (Kamdar).

This was stated by Hafiz Gul Hassain Jatoi, Chairman, Larkano Samaji Ittehad (LSI) while addressing newsmen at Larkana Press Club on Sunday along with vice chairman Imdad Shaikh, Hafiz Bashir Ahmed Shaikh, Ahmed Bux Korai and others.

He said that before 27th December, Rs150,00 were looted from a trader of Jelus Bazaar, besides this, the law and order situation in the whole city is very bad, for this we had called on DIG Larkana, SSP, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner and SP Headquarters several times, have also met with DSPs and SHOs of relevant areas, but instead of solving public grievances, the officials of the government administration sit in their lavish offices like Mughals and make us wait and we come back without resolution of issues.

He said that our organization has been struggling to resolve the issues confronted by the people of Larkana, through which we have opened 32 closed schools, opened closed X-ray and ultrasound machines in hospitals, and as a result of the anti-narcotics movement, the administration has come into motion against drug dealers and peddlers and the treatment of drug addicts is being done, but we are not satisfied with the DIG, SSP, DC and other officials on the issue of law and order and acute encroachment which has become a menace for the residents.

He said we demand that the law and order situation should be improved immediately, action should be taken against the encroachment and habitual encroachers, otherwise, they warned, the scope of the protest will be increased and the door of the court will be knocked for remedy.
