NAROWAL:Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has indicated that Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi will be the caretaker chief minister of Punjab.

Talking to newsmen in Narowal on Sunday, Ahsan Iqbal said “The three names picked by PTI Chairman Imran Khan for the Punjab CM slot have now become ineffective. Only Mohsin Naqvi’s name left and now there is no chance that anyone else will be the caretaker chief minister.

Responding to a question, the minister said PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and Senior Vice-President Maryam Nawaz will return to Pakistan soon. “Nawaz Sharif has given the task of party reorganization to Maryam Nawaz.”

Ahsan Iqbal reiterated that Maryam Nawaz is an asset of the party. “When Imran Niazi was in power, it was Maryam Nawaz who led the party and supporters to challenge Imran Khan’s dictatorship,” he added.
