Open Katchery held at Afghan border near Chitral

Chitral: Deputy Commissioner Chitral Muhamad Shuaib Jadoon held an open Katchery with heads of line departments of Chitral at Pakistan Afghan border area Arandu some 95 kilometres from here.

MNA Chitral Shahzada Iftikharuddin was also present in the open Katchery in which citizens complained about shortage of potable water at Dameel, Arkui and Arandu, and fast cutting of forests by timber mafia.

They also complained about Public Health Engineering, Education, Health, Communication and Works, Livestock, Forest Departments.

They said there is shortage of staff at dispensary and only hospital of Arandu, while some local schools remain close due to absence of teachers.

Deputy Commissioner directed heads of line department to solve the problems of citizens. He distributed relief goods among deserving people of the area.

Divisional Forest Officer Shaukat Fayaz said that 15 forest guards would be recruited in forest department.

DHO, DFO, DSP Khalid, Lt Col Naveed, SDO Irrigation, DFC, Zahir Shah of Public Health Engineering, Land Settlement officer and other officers were present.
