AWARAN: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif while inviting angry Baloch leaders to jonahing national mainstream said there is nothing in fight. We all have to work jointly for progress and prosperity of Balochistan.
He was speaking to earthquake hit people and local elite during his visit here Friday. Upon arrival at Awaran by helicopter from Karachi Prime Minister was accorded warm welcome by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, Commander southern Command Lt General Nasser Khan Janjua, provincial ministers, members of National and Provincial assemblies, Chief Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad and senior officers.
Prime Minister was accompanied by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions Lt General ( R) Abdul Qadir Baloch.
Prime Minister invited angry Baloch leaders to join national mainstream and said let us work for progress and prosperity.
He said Awaran would be made exemplary district and announced to setup solar plants in Mashkay, Awaran and Jhao and gas station. He also directed authorities to taking measures for providing gas to the area.
Prime Minister asked provincial government to carry out survey for building roads in affected areas. He said roads would be built on the pattern of Karachi and Islamabad to facilitate the people.
He asked affectees to decide they want building houses by government or they would do it by their own by receiving compensation.
Prime Minister said assistance is no substitute to human life but to lessen problems of affectees relatives of those killed in earthquake would be paid Rupees 0.5 million and injured world be given Rupees 0.15 million.
Prime Minister was briefed on situation after earthquake in District Awaran and steps taken for rehabilitation of affectees. Commander southern Command Lt General Nasser Khan Janjua briefed him.
