RATODERO: After meeting between MQM leadership and Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT) President Ayaz Lateef Palijo in Hyderabad, a drift among the nationalist party has started to surface as a senior leader of the QAT has announced to resign from the post he was holding.
Zafar Lar is an old activist of the party and was working as central vice president of QAT. While talking to reporters in Larkana, he said that the central leadership of the party first called for observing a complete strike in protest against MQM chief’s announcement for division of Sindh and later when MQM leaders called on them at midnight in Qasimabad, they reversed their announcement and called off strike without consulting other party leaders and office-bearers.
He said he had no other option but to disassociate himself from holding any party post at the first stage. Lar further said that soon he would make an announcement to leave the party as it has deviated from its original stance.
