RATODERO: PML-Nawaz leader Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto alleged said that the recent delimitations carried out by the rulers is based on fraud as they posted corrupt bureaucrats throughout the province before the local bodies elections to achieve their goal.
talking to journalists at his residence in Mirpur Bhutto on Sunday, he said that like general elections, the rulers had preplanned to rig the local body elections as well by posting officers of their choice and preparing wilful delimitation by cutting those areas where they had no vote bank.
Bhutto alleged that two Dehs of Ratodero taluka had been given to Khairpur because during last general elections, the rulers only obtained three votes from a polling station established in one of the village of that Dehs despite their all efforts of cheat.
He said that Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had two times publicly stated that they are prepared to conduct LB elections on November 27 but later they deviated from his stance as well. Asked whether they will face defeat due to the recent delimitations, he said that it was all false, they had broken up all constituencies and all talukas, districts, dehs. They have prepared tailor-made constituencies.
Bhutto said that it was really regrettable that a journalist Asghar Thahim had been kidnapped from Dakhan and had not yet been recovered by the Shikarpur police despite passage of 20 days. He said that law and order situation was really worst in the interior Sindh due to which journalists are not safe.
He said that people would have to be motivated and they would have to come out on roads against injustices being done to them by the rulers. He said that silence of the people had encouraged the bureaucrats for their nefarious designs including corruption. He lashed out at media for hiding the truth from their readers and said that if media portrays real picture of the state of affairs in the country, the rulers would never be able to do wrong things.
Advisor to Prime Minister Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto and other PML-N workers were also present on the occasion.
