Shikarpur police failed to establish its writ as accused of three women not arrested

MADEJI: Shikarpur police have failed to establish its writ as they could not arrest the attackers and killers of three innocent women villagers three days ago in the riverine area of Madeji, PPI learnt here on Sunday.

District police of various police stations conducted a searching operation led by DSP headquarter against the attackers but the criminals had already left after receiving advance information but police nabbed four people who were on their way to their villages including a mentally disturbed man to prove their working along with three motorcycles were also taken from the houses and the cattle of the villagers were also whisked away.

The wheat crop sown on villagers lands was also damaged by the APC worth millions. The case of the murdered women has not been filed as yet. The police of different police stations of Shikarpur district along with APC chain vehicles went for the arrest of the accused involved in the murder of three young women, Hasina Khatoon, Bashiran Khatoon and Amna Junejo, who were gunned down by gunmen due to the blood feud between the Kalhoro and Junejo communities in Darghpur village.

DSP Headquarters Badruddin Bhutto, DSP Tajudero Imam Bakhsh Brohi and others led the police party which raided various katcha villages of Ramzan Kalhoro, Meeral Ji Wandh and other villages, but they found none as the accused had already emptied the villages on receipt of prior information. Police demolished their makeshift houses while the officials took the food items in the houses and more than 20 cattle were also captured.

On the way back, the same police raided the Arab village and searched the houses of the Mirbahar community without any crime and ransacked their houses. After that, they took away their three motorcycles and other goods parked in the houses and also the police took away four laborers working on the land including mentally disturbed Wali Muhammad.

The police surrounded the wheat crop lands and trampled the crops planted by the villagers worth millions of rupees without any cause of action. Arab villagers cried against the police brutality that the police have taken away our bikes which are properly documented for which they urged DIGP and SSP to take notice and order them to return.

Police said that they conducted raids for the arrest of the accused involved in the heinous and brutal murder of three women of Junejo community three days ago, but the accused had fled the house after being informed in advance, adding operations are ongoing for the arrest of the accused.

Meanwhile, the tension between the parties and residents of nearby villages continues after the murder of three women due to the bloody dispute between Kalhoro and Junejo communities. Despite the passage of four days, the case of the murder of the deceased women has not been registered, due to which the risk of further bloodshed has become imminent, the nearby villagers feared.
