Sindh’s acting governor, CM visit Mazar-e-Quaid

KARACHI: Acting Governor Sindh Agha Siraj Khan Durrani along with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Mazar-e-Quaid on Sunday, where he offered Fateha and prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country and the province.

The acting governor Sindh also recorded his comments about the father of the nation in the guest book kept at the mazar. He while talking to media said that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah brought freedom to Muslims through his passionate leadership at a time when Muslims of the subcontinent were frustrated and desperate.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah took command of a dispersed nation and instilled in them the enthusiasm and desire for freedom, Durrani said and added that Quaid-e-Azam looked into the eyes of the British and Hindus and told them that Muslims could never accept slavery.

He further said that Quaid-e-Azam tirelessly fought for a country for the Muslims of the sub-continent without worrying about his health and realized the dream of Pakistan just seven years after the adoption of Pakistan Resolution. Muhammad Ali Jinnah made the impossible possible by giving freedom to Muslims in a short span of time. The acting governor Sindh said that ‘this country is a favor of father of the nation to us’.

The current situation in Pakistan calls for adopting the guiding principles of the leader, and the formation of a welfare society can only put the dream of a great leader to reality, he added. Referring to the current floods in Sindh, Durrai appealed to the people to leave politics and be united to help flood affectees and work for their rehabilitation as soon as possible because the floods in Sindh had caused widespread destruction.

He said that guiding principles of our great leader i.e work, work and only work can combat this natural calamity and ‘I am sure that we will get rid of these difficulties very soon by working hard day and night’.

The acting governor further said that the provincial government and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah were working day and night for the rehabilitation of the flood victims and in addition, the entire nation was helping the flood victims by showing solidarity and unity.
