Six police personnel martyred in Lakki Marwat terrorist attack

ISLAMABAD: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at least six police personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack on police mobile van in district Lakki Marwat on Wednesday.

According to the spokesperson for the district police Shahid Marwat, two terrorists on a motorcycle opened fire on the police mobile van during its routine patrolling near a fair within the limits of the Dadiwala Police Station.

The martyred police personnel include: assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Ilm Deen, Detective Foot Constable Ahmed Nawaz, Lower Head Constable Zubair, Frontier Reserve Police’s sepoy Usman Ali, Constable Mahmood Khan, and driver Dil Jan. Dead bodies have been shifted to a nearby hospital, while police have started search operation in the area to arrest the terrorists.
