Naudero, Sindh: New academic year has started from 1st April but so far the government has not supplied primary textbooks to students from class 1 to 5 due to which their studies suffer.
The attendance of the students has also reduced considerably due to non-availability of textbooks. The students of class IV are compelled to study class III books.
DO Elementary Nawab Khokhar told PPI that next week Larkana district will start receiving books, adding they have already sent proposals about their requirement in each Taluka of the district. He said that over 100 primary male/female schools are working only in Larkana city where thousands of students are enrolled.
However, teachers say that the non-provision of textbooks to the students free of cost will certainly affect their academic year. Sindh Government is claiming to provide free of cost education up to Matric but even textbooks to primary class students have not been supplied.
