Larkana, Sindh: The activists of Mehran Teachers Association, Sindh staged a rally here at the Pakistan Chowk and a sit-in at Jinnah Bagh Roundabout on Thursday noon for acceptance of their demands. They were holding placards and banners and chanting slogans against the Education Secretary.
The rally & protest demo was led by their central office-bearers including president Haji Allah Rakhio Khaskheli, senior vice president Qasim Pathan, secretary general Sarang Shar, Shams Sohoo, Akhtiar Mangi and others.
Talking to media they said that they had submitted their charter of demands to the provincial government but in vain. They said this has forced them to take to the streets. They said their demands include award of son quota, time scale, teaching allowance and opening of closed schools in the province. They warned of more protests if their demands were not accepted.
