Three officials of TMA Pasrur declared guilty in Rs 25 – million financial scam


SIALKOT: A special probing team of Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) has completed its inquiry and declared three officials of Pasrur Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) including TMO, as guilty in Rs. 25 million financial scam, bungling and misappropriation of funds in as many as 81 development schemes in Pasrur tehsil. ACE has also ordered immediate registration of corruption cases against the said Pasrur TMA officials, in his regard.

Regional Director ACE Muzaffar Khan Sial told the newsmen that Pasrur TMA had announced the construction of 81 small and big development schemes worth of Rs. 25 million and got published their tender notice in some Islamabad based newspapers, which usually do not come to Pasrur. Due to which, the Pasrur Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Mehboob Butt, Town Officer Ghulam Mustafa and Sub Engineer Adeel pooled with some local contractors and they plundered Rs. 25 million in these schemes with their mutual malpractice.
