Two more dengue cases in Mirpurkhas

Mirpurkhas: With reporting of two new dengue viral fever cases here Wednesday the number of confirmed cases here has risen to 22, while two dengue patients have already expired.

Due to lack of proper treatment facilities in the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas, the dengue patients are being referred to Karachi. Two dengue patients, Noorul Aeen daughter of Dr Shaukat Malik of Riwachand area, and baby Maria of Satellite Town have already died of dengue fever.

A report of Director Medical Control Program said the confirmed dengue patients include 19-years-old Sandeep of Adam Town, Dr Sajjan of Pak Colony, Muhammad Asghar of Yasrab Colony, Muhammad Hussain, Jan Muhammad, Baber, Ghulam Hussain and others.

Citizens have asked the Sindh health department to provide treatment facilities to the dengue patients at the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas, as many poor patients could not afford travelling and treatments costs in Karachi.
