Two students crushed to death under wheels of buses


SIALKOT: The protesting students attacked several buses and passenger vans, broke their window panes, hurled stones, attacked with the wooden sticks and iron roads as protest against the brutal killings of two students under the wheels of buses in two separate incidents occurred in Sialkot and Daska here Monday.

The students kept the traffic blocked on main Defence Road and Main Daska-Sialkot Road for an hour by burning tyres on the spots, where both of the students were killed. They also staged the sit-ins and chanted anti-police slogans. They were carrying the banners and placards, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.

According to the details, an over speeding passenger bus (K-7386) crushed to death Bijli Mohallah Sialkot city based Shoaib, a student of 10th class who was going to his school along with his father when the bus badly hit their motorcycle (STN-3025), killing the student on the spot near Umer Academy Stop on main Defence Road Sialkot city. Uggoki police have registered a case against the accused fleeing bus driver.

The second incident occurred near village Bheelo Mahaar-Motra, Daska tehsil on Main Daska-Sialkot Road. Reportedly, a local student Waleed of second year class at Daska College, tried to sit into the bus, when the driver drove the bus quickly the student fell down and crushed to death under the wheels of the bus. The accused bus driver fled from the scene.
