Karachi: Expo Pakistan 2013 a new vision promising bright future of our trade and industry, this was stated by Zubair Ahmed Malik President FPCCI in his speech at the inauguration of Expo Pakistan. Mr. Zubair Ahmed Malik while speaking on the occasion further said that the foreign delegations will have a great opportunity to directly interact with the Pakistani manufacturers and exporters which will help in promotion of bilateral trade and economic relations with the respective countries of the visiting delegation. Expo Pakistan which is the eighth in the raw being attended by a large number of foreign delegations indicates safe and secure Pakistan dispelling the perception, created by some foreign media that Pakistan is unsafe, he further stated

He said that cluster of manufacturers and exporters participating in Expo Pakistan have significantly contributed in uplifting the image of Pakistan on national and international level proving their manufacturing capabilities, expertise and export potential which will ultimately boost our export which is the need of hour. He disclosed to the foreign delegates that Pakistan is 4th largest producer and 3rd largest user of cotton, the 6th largest producer of oranges, the 4th largest producer of apricots and sugarcane, the 11h largest wheat producer, the 6th largest producer of fresh milk and the 12th largest rice producer offering tremendous opportunities of joint ventures. Pakistan has a investment friendly nation in south Asia has excellent infrastructure with liberalized investment policies offering high returns of profit on investment, he further stated

He pointed out textiles, food processing, engineering goods, minerals and metals, carpets, furniture, herbal medicine, surgical goods, sports goods, and leather as potential sector for investment in Pakistan.
