KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Shahid Nadeem Baloch, on Saturday directed police to ensure extraordinary security for annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. He said that strict checking should be conducted on the entry and exit routes of Bhitshah town while snap checking should be conducted at police station level on the central route leading to Bhitshah.
“Steps should also be taken to expand intelligence network in outer areas and to avoid any untoward incident. The checking of pilgrims and monitoring of shrine during three days of Urs should be ensured,” IGP instructed officials concerned.
He said that strict vigil should be kept on the stalls besides taking all necessary measures for their sweeping and clearance.
