Fazl urges political parties to resist American intervention in region

Sukkur, Sindh: Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has asked the political parties of Pakistan to join hands to resist the growing American interference in this region.

Talking to media here on Sunday, he said the present of US military basis in Afghanistan would not be a good omen for the region. He said if the political parties failed to chalk out a join strategy against the American interference it would harm the national interests. He said Americans would be the beneficiary if the political parties of Pakistan continued what he called their solo flights. He said the extended presence of American forces in the region would worry the people of this region.

He said his party rejects the Protection of Pakistan Ordinance and demands joint efforts to improve the security situation in the troubled areas. He said all lingering disputes should be settled through a dialogue process.
