SIALKOT: The USA based intellectual and human rights activist Ms. Anne V Roth has said that the only an amicable solution to the Kashmir and Palestine issues was the early freedom and the autonomy to these countries.
She said that the use of power could never be the solution to the burning international issues including Kashmir and Palestine, as the time has proved that the use of power and sentiments of hate and revenge badly ruined the global peace, besides, promoting the militancy and terrorism in the world.
Now, the time is ripe for the international community to wake up and to find the amicable solution to all the international issues through dialogues instead of giving up the fatal tradition of using the power against the poor nations in the world.
She stated this while delivering her speech during a seminar held under the auspices of Pakistan Council for Social Welfare and Human Rights (PCSWHR) here late the last night.
Chairman PCSWHR Muhammad Ejaz Noori, President Mashaikh Ulema Council Dr. Mufti Najeeb Ahmed Hashmi, President Beauty Parlours’ Association Begum Tahira Musharraf, notables Mushtaq Ahmed Qadari, Muhammad Bilal Khan, Muhammad Haneef Janjua and senior journalists were also present on this occasion.
Ms. Anne V Roth said that the power could never be the alternative of peace, asking the world to give immediate autonomy and freedom to the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine as well. She linked global peace to promotion of positive and quality education, which was direly needed to weed out militancy and terrorism from the world.
She narrated that the promotion of durable peace and inter-faith harmony could also be helpful for the socio-economic and human development in the developing countries including Pakistan and this policy would also pave the way to promote the trade. She said that the establishment of the durable and real democracy in all the developing countries including Pakistan was also vital to establish peace globally.
On this occasion, Chairman PCSWHR Muhammad Ejaz Noori added that the promotion of inter-faith harmony was direly needed to cope with all the national and international challenges and burning issues. He said that Islam gives the lesson of love, peace, brotherhood, unity, faith, justice, religious harmony, tolerance and respect to the humanity and all the other religions as well.
Later, Ms. Anne V Roth also visited Iqbal Manzil (the birthplace of Allama Iqbal the Poet of the east) amid tight security and she paid rich tributes to Allama Iqbal for his revolutionary poetry and unmatched religious services. She also termed Allama Iqbal a great philosopher of the humanity as well.
