Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 47% of Pakistanis think girls and boys are equally wise, 34% think girls are wiser.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your view, amongst boys and girls studying in the same class, who is wiser?” Responding to this, 47% said they are equally wise, 34% said girls are wiser and 11% said boys are wiser. However, 8% did not give a response.
The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2732 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 27, 2013 – February 03, 2013. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
