A 45-member under trainee delegation of Punjab Management and Professional Development Department attended a briefing on policing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at CPO Peshawar
Peshawar, April 07, 2019 (PPI-OT): A 45-member under trainee delegation of Punjab Management and Professional Development Department attended a briefing on policing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at CPO Peshawar last day. Commandant Elite Force Sadiq Kamal Orakzai on behalf of the IGP KPK received the delegation. The delegation was briefed by DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid in detail about policing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They were informed about the organizational structure, functioning and major achievements and challenges for the organization and its future plans. The delegation was also told about the front line role of the KP police against militants.
The members of the delegation were also briefed on the institutional reforms i.e. establishment of Counter Terrorism Department, DRCs, PAL, PAS and Specialized Schools. They were also told about Police Act 2017, its implementation, enhanced capacity of the force as well as enactments of different laws and its better service delivery to the public. At the end Muhammad Sohail Munir on behalf of the delegation thanked the IGP and his team for detailed and informative briefing and held in high esteem the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police especially against the terrorists.
Commandant Elite Force Sadiq Kamal Orakzai, DIG Headquarters Muhammad Abid, DIG Inter Accountability Sher Akbar Khan, AIG Establishment Sadiq Hussain Baloch and AIG Police Welfare Shahzada Kaukab Farooq were present in the briefing. Shields were also exchanged on this occasion. The delegationists also held in high esteem the sacrifices rendered by the KP police against the terrorists.
