Bilawal visits rain affected people’s camps in Sindh

LARKANA: PPP Chairman and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited rain affected camps of Naundero, Ratodero and Sujawal on Tuesday accompanied by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and other party leaders and activists.

He inquired from them their difficulties and the problems and assured them to resolve them. He was also briefed about the casualties, prevailing situation and losses in Kambar-Shahdadkot district in the office of the deputy commissioner.

Bilawal directed the divisional and district administrations to speed up draining out stagnant rainwater from all areas of both the districts so that people should not suffer. He further directed that rescue, relief and rehabilitation work should also be accelerated. He said he himself has come out to know the losses of the poor people so that they could be compensated and helped.

Women cried out loud when he visited his hometown’s (Naundero) relief camp established at Government High School-2 for the affected people. They informed him about their collapsed houses, stagnant rainwater in their houses and urged him to reconstruct their homes. The Sindh CM assured them their issues will be resolved.

Later, Bilawal visited Sujawal town of Kambar-Shahdadkot district and inquired about the losses and prevailing situation. He was briefed at the deputy commissioner’s office about the prevailing situation in the district and the losses people have so far faced. He directed the Sindh Chief Minister to plan a foolproof strategy for proper infrastructure afresh, ensuring draining out stagnant rainwater and rehabilitation of the affected people.

Bilawal said PPP, being the representative party of the people, cannot think of leaving the masses alone during calamity. He said we will not take a sigh of relief till each one of the affected people are not rehabilitated in Sindh.
