CPLC, AVCC arrest two kidnappers, recover hostage

Karachi: A joint ream of Citizens-Police Liaison committee CPLC and Anti-Violent Crime Cell AVCC busted an interprovincial gang of kidnappers after an encounter at Superhighway near Sohrab Goth.

A CPLC handout here Wednesday said on 21012013 Waseem Paracha, businessman of Karachi, approached CPLC and reported that his 5 ½ years old son Master Rayyan Paracha has been kidnapped by two unknown kidnappers from Block-J North Nazimabad while he was going to tuition. The kidnappers also snatched the mobile phone of van driver form which they demanded 50 lacs rupees ransom .A case was registered with Shahra-e-Noor Jehan Police Station vied FIR No.24/2013 u/s 365A against unknown kidnappers.

The kidnappers kept calling the family for ransom and after negotiation the deal was finalized at Rs. 15 lacs. On the night between 5th and 6th February, 2013 kidnappers called the complainant for the payment of ransom on various places. Finally, they called the complainant at Superhighway near Sohrab Goth.

The CPLCAVCC closely monitored the movement of complainant and during the exchange of ransom the CPLCAVCC team challenged the kidnappers. Seeing the police the kidnappers opened fire on them in return fire both the kidnappers, Ali Gohar s/o Dil Murad and Mehram Khan s/o Gul Khan Khoso, got injured .

In viewing the sensitive nature of the case CPLCAVCC team interrogated the kidnappers on the spot and on their pointation a CPLCAVCC team headed by Chief CPLC Sindh Ahmed Chinoy, SSP AVCC Niaz Ahmed Khoso with Deputy Chief CPLC Najeeb Danawala, Chief CPLC Central Atiq –ur Rehman and DSP Rao Aslam raided a house behind Shipowners College, North Nazimabad and recovered the kidnapped kid safely and arrested two more kidnappers, namely Tahir s/o Siddique and Muhammad Rehman s/o Siddique form there.

Further investigation is being carried out.
