DEC UK raised 16 million pounds for Pakistan floods victims

The UK Disasters Emergency Committee has so far received contributions of 16 million pounds for relief and rehabilitation of flood affectees in Pakistan.

In a meeting with Pakistan’s High Commissioner in London Moazzam Ahmad Khan, a DEC delegation briefed the envoy on the response to their Pakistan Flood Appeal launched last Thursday.

It was informed that the DEC is working in partnership with government of Pakistan and will spend the collected amount through its partner NGOs working in the flood-affected areas to provide food, shelter, clean drinking water, sanitation supplies and hygiene facilities.
